When's the best time to see tonight's planet alignment, and where in the UK will have the best weather for stargazing?
The time to see the planet parade on 28 February is just after sunset, but before Saturn, Mercury and Neptune dip below the horizon, i.e. around 17:50 – 18:00 UT.
Mars, Jupiter, Uranus and Venus are currently the easiest of the seven planets to see, by a long stretch.

You'll need a clear, flat western horizon to be able to see Saturn, Mercury and Uranus just after the Sun has set, but before those planets set themselves.
And, of course, you'll need clear skies.

Latest predictions
The latest from the UK Met Office is showing that Friday 28 February will be generally see clear skies throughout the day: clear, sunny and chilly.
But what about the weather around 17:30 – 18:00 UT, when the seven-planet parade is supposed to be visible?
The UK Met Office forecast shows that Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and northern Scotland will be most affected by cloud.
On the other hand, much of England appears as though it will be relatively cloud-free in comparison.
Wales is set to get cloudier as the day goes on, which could mean some cloud cover around 18:00 UT tonight, hampering the chances of spotting the planets.
The BBC Weather service says: "Tonight (28 February), cloud will build across Northern Ireland and Scotland with spells of rain moving in from the north-west.
"England and Wales will remain largely dry with clear spells and areas of mist and fog."
It looks like, at the time of writing, the regions of the UK that will have the best weather for the planet alignment will be England and Wales, but that, generally speaking, early evening is looking relatively clear across Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Keep an eye on local weather forecasts in your area and, as always, we wish you clear skies for tonight!
